Raffy Tulfo just celebrated his 61st birthday with a plantito-themed intimate birthday dinner, and we’re living for it!

The broadcast journalist and TV personality was met with a pleasant surprise a few weeks ago when he stepped into a modern paradise in his home, as organized by his family. Clad in a mixture of fresh cut plants, bright neon lighting, and black and white decor, the makeshift verdant space was designed and curated by events stylist Dave Sandoval, in collaboration with La Belle Fete.

Apart from the backdrop, the main table setup itself crawled with foliage from a variety of succulents, to green line and wandering leaves. To truly capture Raffy's energy and personality, the spread was also inflected with rice batteries, along with a touch of silver ornaments and industrial chairs “for a masculine effect,” according to Dave.

Now, if the curious plant lover in you is dying to know more details, we’re one step ahead of you. As per the stylist, additional plants he brought in include moth orchids, zamia furfuracea and Ecuadorean roses sprayed in silver, and baby’s breath to soften the overall look. Suffice to say, we're definitely taking notes for our own plantitos and plantitas who've also gotten into the popular #quarantrend.
In case you were wondering, yes, even Raffy’s cake kept up with his intimate party’s “Rad Plantito” theme. Get a look at it below, as crafted by cake artist Chef Castillo Fuentes.
