For beauty queen and model Rachel Peters, intimacy and practicality are what mattered the most when she tied the knot with her long-time fiancé, Camarines Sur Governor Miguel Villafuerte. She opted for a private civil wedding at the Supreme Court of the Philippines with close family members to witness their vows.
Just yesterday, the newly wedded bride posted on her Instagram to share the good news, captioned: “Celebrated 7 years together by making it official.”

What made this ceremony extra special was Rachel’s simple wedding dress from a local Instagram shop, Just Bonita. According to them, this was the very first time they made a wedding dress since their brand initially focused on corset pieces. Despite the challenge of her cute baby bump, Rachel wore a stunning empire-waist wedding gown that features a mid high-low cut, butterfly sleeves, a scoop neckline, and a white ribbon that perfectly hugs her gorgeous figure. Made out of woven cotton fabric, this flowy dress only costs P15,000! We have to say that no one could have ever guessed that a practical dress would look this elegant!

She completed her minimalist bridal look by opting for a nude smokey makeup look by Angelo Eugenio and a loose low bun with a side part and face-framing curtain bangs. Paul Nebres finished her hairstyle by adorning a Jacatel embellished headpiece.

The bride also carried a beautiful white bouquet of flowers arranged by Gideon Hermosa, which matched the white rose on her newly minted husband's beige long coat suit. The governor also made his own announcement on his Instagram. “I can't wait to marry you again next year with all our family, friends, and most especially our little one coming soon,” he wrote. Sounds like we’re getting a second wedding once pandemic restrictions die down. So exciting!

Congratulations, Rachel and Miguel!
