2. Spider-Man: Far From Home (Movie)

When: Showing on July 3

It's finally here! Our favorite friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is back, fresh from from the events of Avengers: Endgame. Taking a short-lived vacation in Europe, Peter has to deal with the aftermath of his mentor Tony Stark's death, along with new threats wreaking havoc all over Europe.

3. Ang Huling El Bimbo

When: July 5 to August 18, 2019

The jukebox musical featuring the hits of the Eraserheads returns once again for its final run at the Resorts World Manila. Rock out to the iconic bands reimagined tunes and get your tickets here! Show dates will run from July 5 to August 18.

4. Rak of Aegis 

When: July 6 to September 29, 2019

Can't get enough of musicals? Sing and dance along to Rak of Aegis, the breakthrough original Pinoy musical that made noise with its astounding first run back in 2013. The musical, featuring songs from '90s rock band Aegis, is returning for its seventh season at the PETA Theater Center from July 6 to September 29.

5. Contemporary Wood-Carved Netsuke Exhibition

When: July 1 to 21, 2019

For lovers of art and Japanese culture, don't miss the Contemporary Wood-Carved Netsuke Exhibit at Greenbelt 5. The traveling exibition is set to showcase 64 works by living Japanese netsuke artists. FYI, "netsukes" are finely detailed miniature carvings first used in 17th century Japan as toggles on a kimono to hang various items, essentially acting as the traditional garment's pockets.

The free viewing exhibition will run from July 1 to 21, and it will also include netsuke carving demonstrations and workshops.

6. Really Really Free Market, Volume 7 

When: July 7, 2019

Whether you're looking to Marie Kondo your life, or you're just on the prowl for new, random stuff to fill up your space, head on over to the Really Really Free Market on July 7 at the Pineapple Lab in Makati City. The free-for-all event is a market concept pop-up done in different cities around the world. Open from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., it involves bringing in your preloved items (or services), and searching for new ones to take home. As explained on their official event page, "Everything is free. No money. No swapping. No trades." A cool concept that celebrates the idea of a gifting economy centered on community building. Usual goods brought in include clothes, books, art materials, school supplies, kitchenware, and a whole lot more!

7. Tropical Diskoral 

When: July 5, 2019

Celebrate the growing local electronic music scene for a night at Tropical Diskoral, a gig that showcases the emerging contemporary Filipino electronic artists of today. The first of its series, according to its Facebook page, the event "serves as a launching point to connect, re-imagine, and celebrate Filipino Heritage from all over the world...Creating music on their own terms with regard of their cultural identity." Live performers include BP Valenzuela, LIKE ANIMALS, Tarsius, Similarobjects, and more! The best part? It's totally free! Head on over to Futur:st in Poblacion, Makati on July 5 and get ready to dance the night away from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m.
