It was just last November 2020 when Phoemela Baranda announced her pregnancy with a beautiful photo shoot. Fast forward to a month before she is due and we’ve got heart eyes over pics from her recent baby shower. Hosted by her good friend Apples Aberin, the intimate get together was charming and prettily set up—a lovely way to celebrate the coming birth of Phem’s baby girl.

All the pretty details we loved about Phoemela Baranda’s baby shower
1. The light-hued dress code
Apples shares that while there was no particular theme, they did ask the handful of invited guests to come in light colors. A color story looks especially great in photos, as evidenced by how Phem’s pastel pink Trude Lizares dress was complimented by her partner Jason Choachuy’s white shirt.
2. The aesthetic tablescape
Count on Cyndi Fernandez of Moss Design House to dress up a table beautifully. We’re taking note of how she used vases in varied shades of pink and filled them with sparse clusters of both dried and fresh flowers, and copping it for our own tables.
3. The tiered cake was also decorated with flowers
A pastel 3-layer cake is already so aesthetic, and trimmed with flowers and foliage, it becomes even more so. This one from Doughmestic Botanicakes is almost too pretty to eat!
4. Her baby girls unique name
Phoemela told us they are naming their daughter Illya—a Hebrew name Jason found that means “God is Glorious”. She’s planning to give the baby a second name and is asking her daughter Kim for help with this, too.
5 Personalized giveaways
Everyone was given a Dove Baby gift set and the bottles of lotion and hair to toe baby wash had Illya’s name on them. Apples said that this was a special promotion last Christmas, but the brand has more plans coming up in case you’d like something unique as well.
