Who here doesn’t love a good rom-com series? From the iconic ‘90s show, Sex in the City to early aughts' Gossip Girl, this genre serves up just the right amount of charm, drama, and laughter. Well, luckily for us, it seems like Netflix is about to hook us up with a new TV series to love. Get ready to jet set with Emily in Paris, a new rom-com TV series starring—and produced by—Lily Collins!

The plot
According to Netflix, the show follows features Emily, "an ambitious twenty-something marketing executive from Chicago who lands her dream job in Paris." Emily finds herself in a new city, "when her company acquires a French luxury marketing company, and she is tasked with revamping their social media strategy."
The show revolves around "her new life in Paris [that] is suddenly filled with intoxicating adventures, surprising challenges as she juggles winning over her work colleagues, making friends, and of course, navigating new romances coming her way."
The cast and crew
Lily Collins is taking the titular role of Emily, and is also credited as one of the series’ showrunners. She’s producing the series along with Tony Hernandez and Lilly Burns of Jax Media, and Andrew Fleming. Emily in Paris will also be penned and produced by Sex in the City creator Darren Star.
Apart from that, fashionistas like you and I better keep their eyes peeled for stylish OOTDs throughout the show! Emily in Paris taps Patricia Field, the talented costume designer of the hit fashion film The Devil Wears Prada, to create Emily's and the rest of the cast's wardrobe.
Also joining Lily on the show are her co-stars Ashley Park from Mean Girls on Broadway, Philippine Leroy Beaulieu from Call My Agent!, and Kate Walsh from Netflix’s The Umbrella Academy.
The release
Although the exact date of its release is yet to be announced, Emily in Paris is slated to premiere this Fall 2020. So exciting!
