We still can’t get over the fact that Kelsey Merritt, a Filipina model and certified Preview girl, will be walking at the famed Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show this year. It’s been quite a journey for her since she first tweeted about her dream to become a VS model back in July 2017:
Ah, dreams do come true!
On Victoria’s Secret’s official Instagram account, the lingerie brand released their quick Q&A with the model, and based on what she’s wearing in the video, you can easily tell that the footage was taken during the VSFS callbacks. She handled the entire interview with grace—no wonder they were so charmed by Kelsey!—and it was very evident that she's a proud Filipina in most of her answers.
When she was asked to share some advice for aspiring models, Kelsey’s response hit the nail on the head: “My advice for aspiring models is to dream big. Dream big and work hard and don’t stop pushing yourself to your limits. Don’t look at others’ success. Don’t worry about others. Don’t compare yourself to others. Just focus on yourself and you’ll go far.” And that, she certainly did!
