Move over, Regina George! Aaron Samuels has officially found the one—and nope, it’s not Cady Heron either.
American actor Jonathan Bennett, best known for starring in the cult-classic 2004 film Mean Girls alongside Lindsay Lohan and Rachel McAdams, has just announced his engagement with his boyfriend Jaymes Vaughan. He took to Instagram to share the happy news, captioning a series of photos from the romantic proposal: “I said yes! And ugly cried like a crazy person.”
In an interview with People.com, the 39-year-old actor shared how Jaymes popped the question in the sweetest way possible, calling it a complete surprise. Turns out, he was initially told that they’re taking family Christmas card photos to explain the photographers, and then Jaymes got down on one knee and serenaded him with an original song he wrote for him.

"I was told we were going to be taking family Christmas card photos and that's why [photographers were] here. But then no one would look me in the eye and I was like what is going on?" Jonathan adds, "My sister shouted for me to come outside 'real quick' and my F.O.M.O. kicked in so I ran outside. Then I looked over and saw Jaymes holding a sign that said 'We never did find our song, so I wrote it for you.' That's when I knew was getting proposed to because it was the same type of sign he made when he told me he loved me for the first time. And then I began to ugly-cry the ugliest cry anyone has ever cried."
