This just in: Four months after sharing their engagement on social media, Jessy Mendiola and Luis Manzano are finally married! The two simultaneously made the big reveal on both of their Instagram pages, with Jessy’s caption reading, “Officially Mrs. Manzano.”
The celebrity couple tied the knot with an intimate garden ceremony at The Farm at San Benito, Lipa, Batangas on February 21, 2021. While Jessy and Luis quietly exchanged their I dos with only 20 of their closest friends and family in attendance, onlookers can still catch a glimpse of their intimate union thanks to the heartwarming wedding video Jessy uploaded on her YouTube channel to accompany the joyous news.
The short film starts with Luis jokingly reading the lyrics to Gary Valenciano’s Warrior Is a Child as his vows to his fiance, earning laughs and giggles from the audience, before switching to his actual, equally endearing message. He reads: “As we take this step today, I want to promise you that I will love you each day that comes. Even those days na pareho tayong ‘di kamahal-mahal, I will choose to love…I promise to be your rock when you’re weak, and to put a smile on your face even on the darkest of days.”
Where the groom was dashing in a pastel pink suit by Paulo Lazaro, Jessy, on the other hand, looked effortlessly gorgeous in a backless, long-sleeved frock designed by Patricia Santos. As for her vows? “I will protect you and I promise that if you grow weak, I will be there to fight your battles for you,” said Jessy. “Today is the beginning of our journey, our lives together. I choose to spend today and all of my tomorrows with you.”
