Pack your bags, everyone: It's time to plan your revenge travel to Japan!
Ever since the country announced that it will be easing its travel restrictions, many couldn't wait to book their flights and head over to their favorite cities in Japan. That said, it's not as easy for Filipino travelers, who are still required to apply for a visa before anything else, including those who were previously issued a multiple-entry visa before the pandemic.
Thankfully, it looks like the recent announcement made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan will have some of us jumping for joy and expediting those travel plans—because the Asian country is reportedly lifting suspension of valid multiple-entry visas starting October 11, 2022.
"The validity of single-entry visa and multiple-entry visa which had been issued by Embassies, Consulate-Generals, and Consulates of Japan in all countries/regions by December 2, 2021, that have been temporarily suspended, will take effect again from 0:00 am (JST) on October 11, 2022," said the post by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan.
The latest announcement revokes the previous policy, which temporarily suspended the validity of all visas that were issued prior to the pandemic, including multiple-entry visas that were still supposedly valid.
