Scrolling through Instagram Stories has been a way to stay updated with the lives of our loved ones who are far away. We have to admit though that this experience is made more enjoyable with all the #aesthetic filters that everyone’s been using lately. And honestly, we’re pretty hooked on them, too! It’s hard to resist those grainy, analog-inspired filters, but it’s also difficult to find the really cool ones.
In an effort to discover unique filters to make our selfies and food pics better, we asked artsy influencers what their fave ones are. Check them out below, save them on the app, and start snapping!
“My favorite IG Story filters are always changing with the trends, but my current favorite filters are G L O W by @mayttearaneda and Videostar by @fionhart!”

“I love the warmth the G L O W filter has. It gives you a really pretty tan if you use it on yourself, plus it smoothens out your skin (that’s always a plus for me hahaha)! The filter also adds sparkles all around, literally makes everything glow/stand out.”

“The Videostar filter is really unique because the background turns into a flipped + zoomed version of yourself. It also smooths your skin! I love this for detail shots of my outfit or makeup!”
“On Film and Photo Booth from @wishwishwish. Those two are my current favorites. I love the video feature of Photo Booth but here’s a picture from a few days ago!”
“I like Instagram filters that accentuate my morena skin, that’s why I designed and published my own! Haha! It’s called “do you.” Aside from its Filipina/morena vibes, it’s also got low-key baddie makeup with face tattoos and a Kira-Kira-like effect. It’s something that really reflects my personality, that’s why I super love it!”
