There's a current internet frenzy all over the world as Facebook and Instagram continue to be inaccessible for half of humanity, as evidenced by #FacebookDown and #InstagramDown trending on Twitter. According to the FB- and IG-obssessed who've shared their frustrations via tweets, both platforms refuse to let them log back in, with an error message popping up instead.
As for those who haven't cracked down yet that the 'ol logging-out-and-then-logging-back-in trick would work? Well, their feed simply looks like an empty white canvas of despair.
While there's no clear reason for the international outage just yet, both Facebook and Instagram have ironically taken to Twitter to reassure a slowly crumbling world that they're "working on it."
In the meantime, the internet responded in the only way they know how: through memes, of course!
1. Is it back up yet?
2. Yes, operator, where can I get that thing called an actual social life?
3. It's not you, it's Facebook.
4. Make sure to check up on your loved ones in this time of great crisis.
5. When the only person who saw your #foodstagram was the waiter...
6. 2005 called, the Jonas Brothers aren't the only ones making a comeback.
7. Could #FacebookDown have birthed the great American novel of the 21st century?
8. She doesn't even go here!
9. What do you mean I actually have to talk to you in person now? What are we? Barbarians?
10. I came out to have a good time and I'm honestly feeling so attacked right now.
Bonus: Twitter says we're all in this together.
