"Ladurée stands for a very high standard of quality, luxury pastry, but also French art de vivre," Ladurée Global CEO Mélanie Carron tells Preview in an exclusive interview.
Relaunched in the country by Gastronova Group, the new franchisee understands this thrust and pushes for a more encompassing and experiential approach. "We decided to actually bring it into the Philippines because we thought that the Philippines needed something new, refreshing, [and] dynamic—something that had an all-in-one experience with a cafe and a salon all put into one area," Chairman and CEO Karan Gopwani tells Preview.

Ladurée Philippines Grand Flagship Boutique is the First in Southeast Asia
Stepping inside the Ladurée flagship boutique feels like leaving the bustle of the metropolis and entering a tropical rococo dream. Masterfully mixing textures and materials such as marble, rattan solihiya, and glass, ornate details abound every corner, yet its rounded edges and pastel hues make it easy on the eyes and not overwhelming. If anything, it feels being cocooned in a chic oasis of calm with its elegant touches and soft ambiance.

"All the classic flavors of Ladurée will be presented here," Melanie shares. "In the near future, we will also work on specific recipes that are made for the Philippine-market based on local ingredients. For us, it's very important to always work on blending French culture and local culture."
What also sets this Ladurée apart from previous iterations is the presence of a dining menu. You can now partake in full meals and enjoy classic French flavors in Manila. After all, as what Karan explains to us, Ladurée's rich heritage isn't just limited to luxury pastries; they also boast of very extensive savory menu that embodies French cuisine.
