This month reins in another win for Filipino pride as 13 proudly Pinoy design brands recently participated in the Maison & Objet Trade Show, one of the leading design fairs in Europe.
The show, held last September 6 to 10 at the Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition Center, has been hailed by leading design magazine Design Boom as one of the “three most important European events for interior design.” Talk about a milestone achievement and a great honor!
Led by the creative direction of Rita Nazareno and Gabby Lichauco, the brands were presented under the all-encompassing theme of Kindred: A Design Collective. It's also notable to mention that four of the participating exhibitors were new to the global stage, namely E. Murio, HaloHalo, JB Woodcraft, and South Sea Veneer.
Having joined them in representing Filipino artistry to a European audience are Maison & Objet veterans DO Handmade, CSM Philippines, Finali, Nature’s Legacy, Schema, Tali Handmade, Vito Selma, Weave Manila, and Zacarias 1925. The brands flaunted a variety of furniture, bags, accessories, and home interiors made out of local materials such as rattan, bamboo, grass weaves, recycled plastic banigs and more.

When it comes to interior design, lifestyle accessories, and home-living products, the expansion of local brands granted the opportunity to showcase overseas just proves the world-class quality of Filipino talent and craftsmanship.
