The Beckhams have once again dominated headlines as renewed attention focuses on their long-rumored family rift. Brooklyn Beckham broke his silence on years of speculation by posting a detailed message on Instagram, accusing parents David and Victoria Beckham of trying to undermine his marriage to Nicola Peltz, prioritizing the “Brand Beckham” over personal relationships, and even interfering during key moments around the couple’s 2022 wedding.
Brooklyn has since declared that he does not wish to reconcile and has reportedly limited communication with his family to legal channels, drawing widespread scrutiny to the fracture within one of pop culture’s most prominent clans.

Caught in the middle of the drama is Brooklyn's wife, Nicola Peltz, who married into the Beckham family nearly four years ago. As public attention turns to the actress amid the family feud, here are 10 facts to know about Nicola Peltz.
Who Is Nicola Peltz? 10 Things About the Multi-Hyphenate Who Married Into the Beckham Family
She is 31 years old.
Nicola was born on January 6, 1995 in Westchester County, New York City. This makes her a Capricorn, a zodiac sign that is characterized by discipline, ambition, and long-term vision.

She was born into an affluent family.
Her father, Nelson Peltz, is known as a billionaire businessman. According to BBC, he is a founding partner of a New York-based investment management fund, and he has served as the director of several global brands like Heinz. On the other hand, her mother, Claudia Heffner Peltz, was a successful model. They have eight children, and have been together for more than four decades.

She was a young athlete.
Nicola grew up playing ice hockey, taking the centre-right and right-wing positions. In an interview with People, she revealed that her dad wanted her to focus on the sport, and her parents were initially against the idea of her pursuing acting.
She started acting at an early age.
In 2005, she landed her first stage role in Blackbird at the Manhattan Theatre Club—a venture that helped her parents open up to her aspirations. She went on to star in her first film, Deck the Halls, only a year later. Her other notable works throughout her career include The Last Airbender in 2010, Bates Motel in 2013, and Transformers: Age of Extinction in 2014. She has also appeared in music videos like Zayn Malik’s It’s You and Miley Cyrus’ 7 Things.
She is also a writer and director.
Nicola made her directorial debut in 2024 with the movie Lola, which she also wrote and starred in. Her original story, Prima, is currently in the works to become an indie film. Nicole is set to play the leading role, too, with Oscar-winning actresses Faye Dunaway and Mira Sorvino joining her in the cast.
She is a proud advocate of animal welfare.
Nicola is also known for her advocacies as she consistently encourages her supporters to adopt or foster animals. In 2022, she received the Peta award for being a Pawsome Adoption Advocate. Her beloved dog, Nala, passed away in 2024 after a visit to the groomer’s despite being “perfectly healthy.” Nicola reportedly sued them.
She is married to Brooklyn Beckham.
Nicola married Brooklyn in 2022, and with Victoria Beckham’s stature as a fashion designer, many assumed she would create Nicola’s highly anticipated wedding gown. When that did not happen, the internet was quick to speculate about a rift within the family.
Addressing the rumors in an interview with Variety, Nicola explained, “I was going to, and I really wanted to, and then a few months down the line, she realized that her atelier couldn’t do it—so then I had to pick another dress.” She ultimately walked down the aisle in Valentino couture.

Many other rumors have been attached to the supposed special day, including Victoria reportedly hijacking their first dance as bride and groom. The couple renewed their vows in 2025 “so we could create new memories of our wedding day that bring us joy and happiness,” said Brooklyn in an Instagram story.
She is a grandma’s girl.
Her grandmother, who she endearingly calls Naunni, was her Maid of Honor. Nicola missed the 50th birthday of her mother-in-law on April 20, 2024, which added fuel to the ongoing speculations about their relationship. However, she revealed that she missed Posh Spice’s bash to spend time with her Naunni, who passed away less than a month later.

She had previous interviews praising Victoria Beckham.
“I love her, and she’s such an incredible, successful woman,” Nicola said of Victoria in a story with Byrdie. “How lucky am I that I get to ask her for advice? I’m blessed!” At the premiere of Lola, she marked her directorial debut in a custom set by Victoria, telling People that “she is a genius.”

She has allegedly been disrespected by her in-laws.
Early in January 2026, Brooklyn warned his parents to contact him only through his lawyers. Brooklyn expounded on the situation a few weeks after the news broke out through a lengthy series of Instagram stories, saying he had tried to keep the matters private, but his parents have continued to go to the press, leaving him with no choice.
“For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family,” Brooklyn said, calling their posts, events, and relationships “performative” and “inauthentic.” He went on to enumerate specific instances of his parents “trying endlessly to ruin my relationship since before my wedding, and it hasn’t stopped,” citing his parents “attempting to bribe” him into signing away the rights to his name, and calling them “evil” for seating their grandmothers at their table, apart from the dress and dance situation. He added, “My wife has been consistently disrespected by my family, no matter how hard we’ve tried to come together as one.”
David appeared on CNBC’s financial program Squawk Box, and broke his silence on the matter. He discussed social media and mental health, saying, “I’ve tried to do the same with my children, to educate them,” in comparison with what he usually does as a UNICEF advocate. “They make mistakes, but children are allowed to make mistakes. That is how they learn. That is what I try to teach my kids.”
