Just ahead of their global promo tour, the quintet was given galingbayan boxes, fashioned in reference to the balikbayan box—a traditional care package sent by overseas Filipinos to their families.
Acknowledging the responsibility that comes with the distinction, SB19 took to Instagram to express their pride. "Galingbayan box received! Representing the Philippines on and off the stage. We're proud to begin this new chapter as the Philippines' newest tourism ambassadors. From the Philippines to the world!", they captioned.

The recognition highlights SB19 as both a source of national pride and a representative of the Filipino culture. "SB19's talent in undeniable—their music is powerful, and so is their influence. They have the reach to connect with fans across the United States, Europe, ASEAN, and beyond," said Tourism Secretary Dita Angara-Mathay.
The P-pop kings are currently in the US for a series of performances and appearances. In addition to being the first Filipino group to perform at Lollapalooza, SB19 will be participating in the Global Spin Live at the GRAMMY Museum, and throwing the ceremonial first pitch for the Chicago White Sox vs. New York Yankees baseball match (also making them the first Filipino group to do so).
They will also be holding fan meets in California before they fly to Japan in August, where they will perform at Summer Sonic 2026, which is one of Japan's biggest music festivals. Joining them at the festival is fellow tourism ambassador Bini, who was announced by DOT earlier this month.
Both P-pop groups follow in the footsteps of previous tourism ambassadors Michelle Dee, Vanessa Hudgens, and Seo In Guk.
