Where to Watch the 2026 Oscars Livestream in the Philippines

Awards season reaches its grand finale with the 98th Academy Awards, where Hollywood’s biggest films and performances of the year go head-to-head for the industry’s top honors.

This year, Conan O’Brien is back as host, returning to the Oscars stage after leading last year’s ceremony.

Filipino viewers can watch the Academy Awards live on Disney+ in the Philippines. The ceremony streams at 7 a.m. Philippine Standard Time on Monday, March 16, and will be available to subscribers of the streaming platform.

This year’s ceremony comes with several major storylines heading into the night. One of the biggest storylines this year is Sinners from director Ryan Coogler, which leads the field with 16 nominations, the most for any film in Oscars history. Elsewhere, the hit animated film KPop Demon Hunters picked up nominations for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song for "Golden."

The Best Picture race includes 10 nominees, among them One Battle After Another, Sinners, Hamnet, Marty Supreme, and Sentimental Value. Industry predictions currently place One Battle After Another, directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, as a leading contender after major wins at the Producers Guild and Directors Guild awards.

In the acting categories, Jessie Buckley is widely considered the frontrunner for Best Actress for her performance in Hamnet. Meanwhile, the Best Actor race is shaping up to be one of the closest of the night, with Timothée Chalamet (Marty Supreme) and Michael B. Jordan (Sinners) among the most closely watched contenders.

The 2026 ceremony will also mark the first year the Academy presents an award for Best Casting in a Motion Picture, recognizing the work of casting directors.
