Someone owes Madonna a confession.
On April 16 (Pacific Daylight Time), Madonna made a surprise comeback at Coachella—two decades after her last appearance at the annual music and arts festival. She appeared midway through Sabrina Carpenter’s headlining set, and together they performed three of her iconic tracks.

An unreleased song titled “Bring Your Love” was also part of the setlist, presumably from her upcoming Confessions on a Dance Floor: Part II era. While the Queen of Pop’s comeback is worth celebrating, it hasn’t exactly been smooth sailing.
Madonna’s Archival Pieces Went Missing After She Wore Them at Coachella
Through an Instagram Story posted less than a week after her appearance, Madonna reflected on her return to Coachella and announced the burglary. “Bringing Confessions II back to where it began was such a thrill!” She continued, “This full circle moment hit different until I discovered that the vintage pieces that I wore went missing.”
Madonna enumerated that the costume pulled from her personal archives consisted of a jacket, a corset, and a dress. Also missing were jewelry and numerous other “archival items from the same era.” Some of these were the same pieces she wore during her Coachella performance 20 years ago. She stressed, “These aren’t just clothes, they are part of my history.”
The Indio Police Department released a statement saying that the items were last seen “on a golf cart” on the festival grounds, a few hours after Madonna’s performance. However, there was “no evidence to suggest the bags were intentionally stolen,” so they may have accidentally fallen off the cart.
Regardless, Madonna expressed that she is “hoping and praying that some kind soul will find these items and reach out to my team at Infomaverick2026@gmail.com.” She stated that she is also “offering a reward for their safe return.”
