The 22-year-old made headlines a few months ago after her breakup with then boyfriend Kobe Paras. Speculation around the reason for their split drove netizens to scrutinize Kyline’s character, but while she admits to being hurt by the public’s judgement, her response was to remain silent through it all.
When asked about her decision to stay mum, she explained, “I will never fight back publicly. I will never speak up about whatever is happening in my private life publicly, because I do not owe the world my heartbreak. It’s mine.”
Deciding to show grace under pressure, Kyline reiterated that she’s never felt the need to prove herself, leaving retribution all up to a higher power. “I do not need any validation from anyone, especially the public. I know that I’m a public figure but I’m not the public’s property.” According to Kyline, staying quiet amid any kind of public controversy is her way of showing respect to even those who've hurt her.

In an episode of Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, she recalled her relationship with Kobe Paras, stating she felt happy and loved during their time together but that they were just two different people. “At first there’s bitterness, but ngayon wala na because you cannot be bothered by the things you cannot control,” said the actress.
On coping with heartbreak, a teary-eyed Kyline credited her co-star and friend Barbie Forteza for reminding her of her worth. She told the host, “Iba po talaga si Barbie, she just gave me my confidence back. She made me realize na 'ikaw muna, mare.'" Kyline also recounted how Barbie would call her up in the middle of the day and insist that they meet up to eat, something she hadn’t been doing much at the time.
After all she’s been through, Kyline mentioned not closing herself off to love but that she is currently focused on herself and building her career. As part of this, she’s also keeping the lessons she learned from her latest breakup close to her heart—“Know your boundaries and have self-respect.”
