There's a good chance that you've already come across Emi Thasorn.
Whether as a recurring character in Asian TV dramas or a frequent face at high-profile fashion events, the 27-year-old has cemented her status as one of Thailand's brightest stars. With humble roots as a background actor, Emi has earned her way into the upper echelons of the entertainment and fashion scenes. Scroll ahead to learn five essential facts about her!
Who Is Emi Thasorn?
Emi is a communication arts graduate
Thasorn Klinnium was born on April 25, 1998 to a Thai father and a Chinese mother. She graduated with a degree in communication arts from Silpakorn University in Bangkok.
Emi started her acting career as an exta
Emi's first foray into acting occurred in 2020 when she was looking through part-time job openings online. In a recent variety show, she opened up about the arduous process of balancing her studies and being an extra on certain productions. "I took a van for 100 baht to go [back and forth from] Bangkok to film series... My daily wage was 300 baht, so that left me with 100 baht for food. I worked and studied at the same time," she shared.

She would go on to play supporting roles in popular Netflix titles such as School Tales The Series (2022) and Delete (2023). Upon signing with media giant GMMTV in 2023, she was cast in a number of series and got to act alongside Thai megastar Win Metawin twice—first as best friends in Beauty Newbie (2024), and next as romantic interests in Break Up Service (2025).
Emi rose to fame as a villain on "Girl from Nowhere"
Emi's breakthrough actually arrived early in her career, when she starred as the antagonist in Girl from Nowhere 2 (2021). In the mystery-thriller anthology, she played the resident mean girl, Nana, who was infamous for tormenting and manipulating her fellow students. The show, which starred Kitty Chicha, was a massive success, spawning a global following and even a reboot (albeit with a different cast) released in 2026.

Emi is in a Girls' Love partnership with Bonnie Pattraphus
Just last 2025, Emi was linked up with fellow GMMTV actress Bonnie Pattraphus as an on-screen romantic partnership. EmiBonnie has since starred in Us the Series, which has garnered them both a considerable following. The two are set to make audiences swoon anew with their upcoming project Moonshadow.

Emi is a luxury fashion darling
With her star continually on the rise, the Thai actress has attracted several luxury maisons. A scroll through her Instagram grid feels very much like flipping through a fashion catalogue, thanks to the collaborations she's secured. She's worked with labels such as Louis Vuitton and Fendi, and has sat in the front row at fashion shows by Miu Miu and Saint Laurent. What a chameleon!

Em is queer and probably daydreaming somewhere. They're Preview's associate entertainment editor who's often spotted in cowboy boots and lemon-tinted sunnies.
