Dolly de Leon Joins the Cast of "Avatar: The Last Airbender" Season 2

Filipino talent continues to make waves in Hollywood, with Golden Globe nominee Dolly de Leon confirmed to join the cast of Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 2 on Netflix.

Dolly is slated to take on the intriguing roles of Lo and Li, the firebending mentors of Princess Azula from the Fire Nation. The critically acclaimed actress will join fellow Filipino actor Jon Jon Briones, who plays Fire Lord Ozai, Azula’s father and the central antagonist of the series.

Dolly, who rose to global acclaim for her performance in Triangle of Sadness, shared her excitement about joining the live-action adaptation of the cult-favorite animated series. “I’m extremely excited and honored to be part of an iconic live-action version of an animated cult classic. It’s my first time to play twins... It’s a dream come true,” said Dolly.

Lo and Li are remembered by fans of the original series as composed and cryptic figures—advisors who shaped Azula’s ruthless leadership style with elegance and restraint. With Dolly portraying both roles, the series is poised to deliver a performance that brings both wit and weight to the Fire Nation’s narrative arc.
