As the daughter of Aga Muhlach and Charlene Gonzalez, Atasha Muhlach has had to navigate the industry with great expectations placed on her shoulders. Many onlookers have perceived the aspiring actress as a "nepo baby," assuming that some of her career milestones came about through connections and other privileges.
In a recent interview with Boy Abunda, Atasha addressed these assumptions, emphasizing that she finds satisfaction in working hard for what she has.
Atasha Muhlach on Why Her Parents Don't Spoil Her

In their conversation, Tito Boy brought up the reputation Atasha's parents have in show business. Her mother, Charlene, was crowned Miss Universe Philippines in 1994 and is also one of the many actresses to have played the iconic Dyesebel. "Noong una, akala ko mermaid ang nanay ko," the Gen Z actress candidly recalls. "Kasi she would show us her photos before... So for the longest time, 'yung dream ko, sana ako [rin] maging mermaid."
Later in her childhood, Atasha came to realize that her and her twin brother Andres Muhlach's mom was more than just a regular mom. "People around her would always remind me, 'Ah, Miss Universe ang nanay mo.' And I would see it, obviously," she says, listing the pageant-worthy traits she noticed in Charlene growing up.
"She's so tall, she's so kind, and she's so endearing with everyone, and she just glows from within," Atasha adds. When asked if she and Andres are spoiled by their parents, she quickly responds that they rarely are.
Emphasizing her point, Atasha explains that she prefers to put in the necessary effort to earn the things she has. "It's a very fulfilling feeling as a woman to work hard for the things that you want in life, and it's something that I like to do. It brings me sentimental value na that all the work that I put in, everything that I earned is really earned by myself," she says confidently.
Atasha Muhlach's Look on "Fast Talk"
For her chat with Tito Boy, Atasha kept things straightforward and classy in a little black dress. Styled by Leanne Ledesma and Mariana Cuyana of Qurator Studio, the actress wore a fresh take on the LBD by AZ Factory. The frock featured a structured, ballooned skirt and a loose zipper detail at the back, adding a youthful touch to a classic silhouette. Paired with black pumps and a sleek ponytail, Atasha looked polished as she sat across from the King of Talk.
