In the aftermath of Triangle of Sadness, it looks like Dolly de Leon is moving on to bigger and brighter things! The Golden Globe-nominated actress has just announced that she’s signed on to join the cast of the upcoming action-comedy film Grand Death Lotto by Amazon Studios. Here’s everything we know so far about Dolly de Leon’s new film Grand Death Lotto.
What is Grand Death Lotto’s plot?
Grand Death Lotto, which will be an Amazon Original movie, will be part action, part comedy, and part dystopia. The story will follow a trio of main characters in a dystopian version of California. In this bizarre future, a Grand Lottery regularly takes place, and it’s got a killer twist: Anyone who kills the winner of the lottery before sundown can legally claim the jackpot for themselves. The movie will follow the accidental jackpot winner, a professional jackpot bodyguard, and a rival jackpot protector, all with their own agendas in mind. Who else is in the cast of Grand Death Lotto?
Dolly de Leon has signed on for a supporting role in the film, alongside Ayden Mayeri, Seann William Scott, and Donald Elise Watkins. The main stars of the film are Awkwafina, who will play Katie, the accidental jackpot winner; John Cena, who plays her jackpot bodyguard Noel; and Simu Liu who plays John Cena’s rival, Lewis Louis.
The film will be directed by Paul Feig, who previously directed The School for Good and Evil, A Simple Favor, Ghostbusters, and Bridesmaids.
What is Dolly de Leon’s role in Grand Death Lotto?
