As the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases continues to rise in Metro Manila, the Department of Health recommends personal protective measures—including "social distancing." And if you have an upcoming flight with Cebu Pacific, the budget airline is offering free rebooking for passengers with tickets between March 10 and 31.
"We understand the concerns and hesitation passengers have with regards to air travel," Cebu Pacific said in a statement released in the evening of March 9. Passengers booked for Philippine and international travel from March 10 to 31 can rebook their flights for free, but fare difference still applies. This can be done through the Cebu Pacific hotline at +632-8702-0888 from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Another option is through the "Manage Booking" portal in the Cebu Pacific website. This will be available starting March 11.
If you're booking new flights between March 10 and 31 (for any travel date and route), you can avail CEB Flexi for free. This add-on, which was launched in October, guarantees cheaper flight changes by allowing travelers to rebook up to two times for free. Fare difference during rebooking still applies.
"Preventive measures are in place to manage the risk of infection from the Corona Virus Disease 2019. These measures include thorough disinfection of aircraft, on top of the regular cleaning; providing our crew with Personnel Protective Equipment such as face masks, gloves and disinfectants; restriction on transferring of seats during our flights; and use of HEPA air filters, that block 99.99% of contaminants and viruses," Cebu Pacific added.
