This just in: Camille Co and longtime beau Joni Koro got engaged in Japan last month! So that's why, in case you noticed, she's been sporting a glimmering ring in her latest Instagram OOTDs. Your eyes weren't deceiving you.
Here, Preview stops for a quick chat with the excited groom-to-be on how he planned the entire proposal. Exclusive deets, below!

Being a certified “blogger jowa,” how did you plan your proposal?
"Certified! Haha. I wanted the proposal to be simple so I only had a quartet prepared and 300 meter candle lit path to the venue. Chos.
"Neither one of us is a huge fan of grand things related to proposals, so there was no major spectacle prepared. We became official over a picnic in a park so I followed the same path for this. It happened in a pretty park with just two of us and a photographer. I initially didn’t want a photographer but Cams made a case before about how she wishes her parents would have pictures of their proposal so she could imagine how it all went down. Because of this, we now have pictures."

How long have you been planning it? Were you nervous?
"It’s been in the plans for a good while but only became concrete after I started the ring hunt a few months back. I think everyone is nervous leading up to the kneeling down. It’s such a special moment, a big step for the couple. So to answer the question, of course I was nervous!"

Please tell us about the ring!
"I’d like to believe the ring is how Cams wanted it to be. We had discussed what she likes and what she doesn’t so I just used those as the basis when looking for the one. We have a similar taste design-wise so I knew it won’t go completely wrong if it looks okay to my eyes. I admit to consulting with her sister a lot, though!"

How did Camille react when you popped the question?
"Since we had been talking about the engagement, I think she knew it’s going to happen soon. I would like to believe though that she had no idea it’s happening in Japan, and that I was able to surprise her. After I started my short speech, she knew right away what’s up."
Speaking of which, why did you choose to propose in Japan?
"No specific reason for Japan; the timing was good and I thought the venue is nice to pop the question. I was initially actually planning to do it in the Philippines but at least if Japan wasn’t part of our story before, it definitely has a special meaning to us now. Maybe it was meant to happen there as our hashtag #CoKoro (kokoro) has a nice connotation in Japanese—Google it!"
Spoiler: The Japanese word "kokoro" actually means "heart" in English! Congratulations, Joni and Camille!
