A group of thieves was caught raiding a Bulgari store in the heart of the city's luxury capital in broad daylight. Occurred in the area of Place Vendôme in Paris, where the famous Ritz Hotel is also located, they took 10 million euro worth of Bulgari jewelry. That's approximately a whopping P600,000,000!

According to the Paris police, there were at least three individuals who wore sleek and sharp suits that entered the luxury store one afternoon. A few minutes later, they pulled out their guns and quickly robbed the newly renovated boutique. However, the Paris police were able to immediately catch up with the unfortuante incident. “Quick reaction by Paris police after a jewelry store robbery at Place Vendôme. Two suspects in custody," the police announced on their official Twitter account. "The three fled in a car while four accomplices took flight on scooters. Police fired shots at the car near the Les Halles shopping mall, less than 2 kilometres away, forcing the trio to try and flee on foot." Police investigations are still ongoing.

However, this news isn't any short of a surprise to the Parisians. There have been numerous robbery cases in the city of love that left the historic Place Vendôme, which was regarded the ultimate go-to place for designer labels such as Chanel and Van Cleef & Arpels to reside. Last July 27, a French man stole 2 million euro worth of Chaumet jewelry when three days later, two other men targeted a Dinh Van store, clutching onto 400,000 euros of valuable jewelry. These unfortuante events were reported to have been influenced by the upcoming French presidential election in April 2022.
