Yen Santos Opens Up About How She Lost 21 Kilos in 2 Months
The actress got real about her weight loss journey, admitting that she “couldn’t even look at myself in the mirror.”

Yen Santos got candid on social media about the personal struggles she faced while on her weight loss journey. The actress and Pinoy Big Brother alumna admitted to losing her confidence last year, sharing, “I gained so much weight that I barely recognized myself. It was the heaviest I’d ever been and honestly, I couldn’t even look at myself in the mirror. I just didn’t like what I saw. Nothing fit anymore! And the frustration started to weigh heavier than the actual weight.”

According to Yen, nothing she did worked for her, whether it was diet or exercise. She also struggled with “eating” her feelings, so much that it became a repetitive cycle. “I eat when I’m happy, when I’m stressed,” said the actress.

Not one to give up, her determination led her to the doctors at Baker Medical Aesthetics who put her on Baker Slim, a non-surgical slimming program “designed to help you achieve your weight loss goals safely and effectively.” As explained on their official Facebook page, it “supports fat loss while keeping you strong and healthy throughout the process.”
A testament to the program’s credibility, Yen wrote that she began seeing its effects quickly in just one week after losing 3 kilograms.

“Since then, I’ve just been feeling better and better. From 72 kilos to 51 kgs in 2 months, and more importantly, I’ve found the confidence I lost along the way,” she added.
"It’s still a journey, but now I know I’m finally on the right path with the right people."
Yen has been on a four-year acting hiatus since winning Best Actress at the Gawad Urian Awards in 2022 for her film A Faraway Land. But it looks like her time away from the cameras is about to end after teasing a possible onscreen return on her Instagram just last week. “Day 1. The joy of being back,” read her caption alongside a photo of her on the set of her undisclosed project.
