Back in the '90s, everyone's definition of a nude lip probably came in a shade of brown. Both the grunge girls and supermodels were obsessed with the earthy shade, including Jennifer Aniston who always wore a brick hue in Friends. Full, perfectly-lined lips were a hit as well, to the point where many skipped lipstick altogether and only wore lip liner. Although we don't really suggest rocking that look today, we think the '90s kids were certainly on to something.
Lip liner, or lip pencil, is something you ought to collect if you love lipstick. They'll make applying dark lipstick so much easier, because with them, you can outline your lips and create a guide before swiping on that rouge—no more crooked lines! Plus, if product always strays from your pout, lining your cupid's bow and lower lip with a waxy pencil will stop any feathering. You can even use these alone as lipstick for a smudge-proof lip!
