This Product Will Solve Your Oily Face Strobing Woes

It’s all about the sheen and not the shine.
This Product Will Solve Your Oily Face Strobing Woes It’s all about the sheen and not the shine.

Ladies, listen up. There is a major difference between sheen and shine. Often times people confuse one for the other—usually when using a highlighter—ending up with a too-shiny face, one that looks like it can provide enough oil to deep fry some French fries (kidding!).  But seriously, it pays to know the difference.

While adding a bit of shine helps make certain features pop, proper placement is still key. Case in point: adding color and shine to your lips and eyes will make them pop. But adding shine to your T-zone will simply make you look too oily. What you really want to do with your skin is to add sheen to achieve that healthy, dewy glow. To avoid that “ready for prito” look, work a mattifying primer onto your face before applying makeup.

Revlon PhotoReady Prime + Anti Shine Balm, Watsons and SM Department Store

We recommend  Revlon’s PhotoReady Prime + Anti Shine Balm. What it does is it minimizes the appearance of your pores and smoothens out your skin, giving it a natural matte finish. Simply apply the product using a sponge and work it into your skin, concentrating on areas when you tend to oil up more such as your T-zone. Follow through with a bit of foundation to even out your skin and finish off with touches of highlighter on the high points of your cheeks, tip of the nose, chin, and brow bone and you’ve got a dewy glow!
