Lisa Eldridge, a sought-after makeup artist by A-listers, now owns Audrey Hepburn’s 18k gold lipstick holder with a sapphire stone exclusively created by Cartier for the Breakfast at Tiffany's star. She acquired it after winning the bid at Christie's Auctions and Private Sales. (If you recall, Anne Curtis also took possession of Audrey's collection of bows from the same British auction.)

According to Lisa, she bought this vintage makeup case in 2017, but when she posted a tribute to Audrey Hepburn on her birthday last May 4, fans have asked to hear the story of how she was able to obtain the treasured piece.

Last June 13, Lisa finally posted a video on her YouTube channel where she explains every bit of detail about the lipstick. She was absolutely determined to own this piece of memorabilia—as every Hepburn fan would.

Lisa came upon a huge surprise when she picked up the lipstick holder from Christie’s. As she was inspecting her purchase, Lisa opened the lipstick holder only to find the remains of Audrey’s lipstick inside!

Towards the end of the video, the makeup artist uses a sterilized needle to try on the 69-year-old lipstick that holds the DNA of Audrey Hepburn herself. She analyzed the pigments, which she believes was a "true salmon pink," to be able to recreate the color so she may wear it whenever she pleases.
