SZA Reveals the Exact Products in Her Famous Layered Lip Combos

Apart from her journalistic lyrics and R&B tracks, SZA is also known for her layered lip combinations. They were always luscious enough to make fans wonder—what products does she use? SZA finally shares the answer, and it’s Not Beauty.

The Grammy-winning musician explained in a separate statement that, “Not Beauty wasn’t about me trying to enter the beauty market.” Rather than becoming a household name in the new industry she’s exploring, she is more concerned with creating a necessity longed for by beauty lovers like her. “It’s about me filling a need, it’s about me needing something that lasted as long as my show, as long as my conversation, as long as my date.” 

The first drop of Not Beauty includes non-sticky lip glosses that are sure to leave the lips plump and hydrated. SZA covers the basics by providing three universal shades: In the Flesh for a classic nude, Strawberry Jelly for a natural pop of color, and Quartz for your own lips to shine through the clear gloss.

Staying true to her brand’s purpose, the lip glosses are both hydrating and long-lasting. SZA plans to eventually expand the line to include more lip-focused products such as liners, stains, and creams. Eventually, you can try out her exact layered lip combinations.

The lip glosses come in wood-pattern packaging, inspired by nature. Truly Earth-loving and planet-conscious, Not Beauty is cruelty-free and vegan. All factors considered, SZA shared, “There was nothing that existed that did that for me and also made me feel moisturized. I don't know much about much, but I know a lot about lips, and I feel like Not Beauty is not beauty. It is just something that I wanted to share that worked for me and I hope works for you.”

For its initial roll-out, Not Beauty’s trio of lip glosses is exclusively available through pop-up stores in the artist’s Grand National Tour locations. The tour, co-headlined by SZA’s frequent collaborator Kendrick Lamar, kicked off on April 19, 2025 and it will conclude on June 18 of the same year. While there are no Asia stops, we’re hopeful for Not Beauty to be accessed globally in the coming months.
