Sue Ramirez admits there are times she doesn't feel like she looks her best.
Dumadating tayo diyan, e."
"At one point in our lives, talagang ikukuwestiyon mo yung sarili mo, especially pag maraming mga external forces 'yung nagsasabi sa iyo," she says.
Her solution to this is to "go back home."
At the press conference of Silka on September 29, 2022, Sue says, "You go back to your family."
She continues: "You go back to the home that you grew up in, and just realizing how loved and accepted you are, I think that’s the strongest foundation that a person can have."
But given the nature of her job, Sue says it's better to change their mindset and not be affected by their comments.
Kung ikaw, ganun yung pananaw mo, [you have to] really look around you and help the people change their mindset."
But not all beauty problems have an instant solution.
So Sue also underlines the importance of embracing your flaws, and surrounding yourself with people who see the best in you, no matter what.
Her family has been instrumental in keeping her grounded and making her feel loved and beautiful.
"And they have been my strongest support system ever since I’ve been acting, since I was 13 years old—literally half of my life."
"Now that I'm 26, I'm so proud of my family.
Finally, Sue gives a strong statement about what makes a person beautiful.
"For me, I think beauty is confidence and confidence is acceptance. When you know and accept who you truly are, that’s when you truly feel beautiful."
"Beauty is comfortability. Being in a place and just being there and being comfortable kahit maraming nakatingin sa iyo. Beauty is humility," she concludes.
