What: Cream Silk Hydra Fresh Light Conditioner Fresh & Bouncy
What It Is:
Cream Silk's Hydra Fresh conditioners are said to have the brand's lightest and freshest conditioning system yet. It's water-based and infused with hydracollagen technology, which helps the conditioner absorb quicker while delivering hydration effectively. The lightweight formula also claims to be easy to rinse and non-greasy on the hair.
The line consists of two variants, Fresh & Bouncy and Fresh & Hydrated. The former (pink bottle) is for limp and flat hair that needs more bounce and volume, while the latter (blue bottle) was designed to hydrate oily and greasy hair types.

Current Condition:
I use conditioner every day because it helps tame the frizz in my hair and just helps protect it from damage in general. I never skip it when I shampoo my hair, but sometimes, I wish I could since I admit it takes quite some time to rinse off. It's one of my pet peeves to have that slippery conditioner residue after I shower, too. This explains why I've tried my fair share of "easy-to-rinse" formulas in hopes of shortening my bath routine. I have yet to find a favorite, so I definitely had high hopes for Cream Silk's version of it. I chose to try the Fresh & Bouncy variant for my frizzy, straight hair.
How I Used It:
I compared the texture of the Hydra Fresh with the other conditioners I use, and true enough, it's less thick and more translucent than your average conditioner. When you rub it against your palms, it also feels more like a light gel than a viscous cream.
I used it after my usual shampoo, squeezing out a big dollop of the conditioner onto my palms and massaging it all over the ends of my hair. I then lightly spread the excess near my roots to hydrate that part without overdoing it. I spend about a minute massaging the product all over my strands before I finally rinse it off under my shower head.
The rinsing process, to my surprise, took around less than a minute. I didn't have to try so hard to get the product off either, because it just washed away easily under the running water. I expected to apply conditioner again at first because it couldn't possibly be hydrating and be that easy to wash, but my hair felt as it normally did after using my other conditioners.
Once my hair dried, it was noticably less frizzy and less flat than normal—which I loved. I wouldn't say that it helped add volume as it claims, but the product definitely gave me that signature Cream Silk finish in which my tresses feel shinier and softer.
Conclusion:
My favorite thing about this product is that it does everything a conditioner is meant to without the small (yet definitely noticeable) inconveniences that come with conditioning your hair. It's easy to rinse, doesn't weigh my hair down, and makes it look and feel more hydrated. Although it doesn't really have a lingering fragrance that I've come to expect from Cream Silk products, I'd choose having healthy-looking hair over fragrant hair any time. In fact, this lightweight formula might just be my favorite from the brand so far when it comes to daily use.
