Ever wonder what makeup MUAs wear themselves?

The tricky thing about makeup is that almost everything is good the first time you try it. You'll use something once or twice and then completely forget about it, which is unfortunate, but it happens more often than most of us would probably admit. Makeup artists know this cycle all too well, though there is one pro to this con—it's how they find some cool beauty gems they won't just use on their clients but also on themselves.

With that said, we decided to do some digging. We asked 10 professional makeup artists about the best products in their personal kits, starting off with their favorite blush. Check out their picks below!

1. MJ Bornales (@mj_bornales)

"My go-to blush is the K-Palette Lasting Cheek Tints in Peach and Rose. I'm a big fan of cream blushes cause it gives your cheeks more radiant and natural-looking flush at the same time easier to blend than liquid tints. I use it whenever I go to the beach for that 'sunkissed' look."

"Glossier Cloudpaint in Haze 'cos it's easy to use. Just put two dots on the apples of your cheeks then rub/blend, blend, blend. Plus it gives you that glow from within. Parang kaka-workout lang."

"I use the Happy Skin Lip and Cheek Tint in Chill and Sunnies Face Airblush in Moon. You know me I'm basic—I want to look low-key but on fleek."

4. Laila Al-Harthy (@lailaalharthy)

"I use Glossier's Cloudpaint in Haze and MAC's Peachykeen. Burnt warm orange colors suit me because my skin is in the deep-dark spectrum. The Glossier blush lasts long, to be honest! I've used up two tubes. And for Peachykeen, I hit pan twice. It has shimmer like the Mineralize Skinfinish so you're dewy. I have oily skin but I've accepted it so I don't combat the oil with a matte blush."

"I really use L'Oreal Rouge Signature Empowereds Matte Lip Stain in Armored. Ginagawa ko siyang cheek tint. I like it because it's a multi-purpose product. Perfect for cheeks, lips, and even on the eyes. It's also lightweight and blendable."

"My fave blush that I use on myself everyday is Sunnies Face Airblush in Doll and Biscuit! I'm a 'no-makeup' makeup kind of gal but I can't go out without blush, I think it makes me look fresh and wide awake. I love how Airblush is so lightweight and very easy to blend! I just dab it onto my cheeks and even on my lips, nose and lids too whenever I feel like I want a little extra color."

"I love RMS' Lip2Cheek in Demure. It's so smooth and blendable and the best thing about it is it melts into your skin. Super natural!"

"One of the blushes I like using is 3CE's cheek tint. It's handy and the shades are perfect for Asian skin. Plus it looks really natural like I'm not wearing blush."

"One of my favourite blushes for everyday is the Laura Mercier Blush Colour Infusion in Peach. It gives just the right amount of colour to make your cheeks look flushed. It comes on sheer but is buildable & easy to blend. Perfect to wear during the day, or to pair with a dark eye or statement lip for those nights out."

10. Xeng Zulueta

"I have two favorite go-to holy grail blushes: K-Palette's Lasting Cheek Tint in Classic Red and Colourette's Colourtints. I love the K-Palette one because I only need a dab of it and it goes on semi matte, which is also infused with skincare. I also use it on clients for special occasions and weddings. It's the perfect bridal flushed cheeks blush for that glowing bride.

"For shoots and beauty editorials I love love love the new Colourtints for cheeks eyes and lips, which is a liquid dry oil type unique formula (they also have a super pigmented matte version) and my holy grail is Celeste, which is a deep bold blue tone kind of reddish-wine—kind of how red wine is when it leaves a stain or when you’re a bit tipsy. The effect of the Colourtints is very skin-like, perfect for beauty editorials where you still want to see skin or when you're trying to achieve that Korean glass skin look."
