Getting yourself some fringe is anything but boring. According to Kathryn Bernardo's go-to hairstylist John Valle, getting bangs won't mean you'll have fewer options when it comes to your everyday hairstyle. In fact, one of his top recommendations could be considered a miracle worker, as it can instantly give the illusion of a V-shaped face.

Curtain bangs, as John calls the style, seem like your regular full fringe but parted in the middle like curtains. "The fringe covers both sides of the face, which includes half of the brows, so it gives this illusion of a more oval-shaped face," he explains. "I always do this hairstyle to my clients who have a round face since it helps the face appear slimmer."
Basically, they're normal bangs, only styled differently for a face-trimming effect. "It also works if your bangs are growing and you don't have time to trim them," the hairstylist adds. Just sweep those strands to the side and no one will know!
