Fresh from her Grammys Bowie tribute, Lady Gaga was spotted back in New York and back to blonde as she made her runway debut at Marc Jacobs’ Fall 2016 show. Trading in her bright, glitzy eye makeup for something darker and bolder, Gaga, along with Kendall Jenner and other runway veterans, brought the season to a close, with tons of drama and a whole lot of eyeliner.
Echoing the touches of darkness we saw at Fenty Puma by Rihanna, Monique Luhilier, and Rodarte, models were seen sporting blackened eyes and dual-textured finger waves as an ode to the ‘20s. Makeup artist François Nars tells Allure, “The girls almost look like they're wearing masks.”
While this look may be a bit too over-the-top to be worn during the day, we suggest that you rock this simple smokey eye instead:
