New York Fashion Week may be over, but we still can't get over the slayage Janine Gutierrez brought on her freshman season. Not only did she wear Filipino designers to the shows, she also pulled off some of the coolest beauty looks off the runway. You can see them all up close below, including some exclusive deets from her makeup artist Anthea Bueno.
Look 1: Minimal Coral
The eye-catching sunny hues of Janine's ruffled Martin Bautista dress merited a pared-down beauty look, but in the spirit of fashion week, Anthea said they wanted to go all out and add a pop of color, which then came in the form of this hyper glossy coral lip. Also, can we just take a moment to appreciate her ombré blue manicure?

Look 2: Cleopatra Liner
Day two was less about color and more about achieving an elegant glam that complemented her Tibi coat. Hence, a cat eye was a no-brainer. To spice it up, they extended the inner and outer corners for a chic, Cleopatra-esque effect. Her smooth, sleek waves are definitely on our must-try list, too.

Look 3: Supersized Pink Cat Eye
This pink cat eye was a true showstopper, to say the least. It's something you'd only expect to see on the runway, but isn't that the spirit of attending fashion week? That said, this high-impact eye actually had a purpose. According to Anthea, Janine's stylist MJ Benitez suggested this look to match the actress' pink Amina Muaddi trumpet heels.

Look 4: Nothing But Yellow
Anthea met up with Women's Health beauty director (who's a Filipina!) Kristina Rodulfo in NYC, and she said that their conversation inspired this look. "She told me that the trend in New York now is very minimal—like four products on [the] face. That's why we opted for something almost bare," she says." Going this direction, she gave Janine glossy skin and a faint wash of yellow on the lids for a subtle hint of color. And of course, you can't have fashion week without a quick change. To match Janine's second look, they switched from bare lips to a deep, wine-stained pout for a hint of drama.

Look 5: Gunmetal Smokey Eye
Janine ended her NYFW with a banging smokey eye that reminds us of that cool, lived-in look you've probably seen on Victoria Beckham. "I went for a matte gunmetal smokey eye," Anthea shares. "But even if it's a dark eye makeup look, it's not pitch black so it still looks young." And she's right—we may or may not have rummaged through our makeup drawers for our old kohl pencils.
