We ourselves can never say no when something claims to make our liner-wielding process smoother, because let's be honest: We'd all be wearing a cat eye daily if only it was as easy as putting on lipstick. According to Janella's makeup artist Effie Iñigo, the actress was wearing eyeliner on half of her eyelid only. If you look closely, her eyeliner was only applied on the outer corners, which literally cuts the look in half. "It's flattering to not do a full liner look—it's simple, flirty, and more flattering," Effie tells Preview.
To line your eyes the same way, look straight into a mirror and start applying product on the center of your upper lashline—keep the line thin to maintain a more natural look. And using your favorite technique for drawing your wings, gently continue the line outwards into a flick. Mask the lack of product on your inner corners with a heaping layer of mascara and you're done! You might even want to use that extra time to put on a bright berry lip like Janella did.
