“My tip to keep makeup intact is not to layer a lot of skin care products. Wearing a lot of skincare products works when you want your look to be bare-skinned during the day or at night when you sleep.

“If you’re going to wear makeup during the day, too much skincare products will not make your makeup last. Makeup products will just slip and slide with the skincare products, either during the wet season or the dry season. A thin layer of moisturizer is enough under makeup if you really have dry skin.” –Juan Sarte

“Just wear anything cream! And those lip tints that stain the lips will still help you keep your look for longer hours. Anything that repels water, from your base to your colors, will greatly help.” –Owen Sarmiento

“During the rainy season, I usually recommend steering clear of heavy creams or thick, creamy foundations since they tend to melt and slide off more easily with humidity and moisture.

"Instead, I suggest going for lightweight, long-wearing formulas, and layer strategically: start with a grippy primer (not too much!), follow with waterproof or transfer-resistant products, and finish with a setting spray to help lock everything in.

"A touch of translucent powder on areas that tend to get oily can also help a lot. I don’t mind if it looks too matte at first because after an hour or two, the humidity and natural oils from the skin make the look more natural and sometimes dewy, depending on the skin.” –Denise Ochoa
