From skin tone, skin type, down to foundation shade—here's a quick matching game to help you find your best match.
1. Uneven Skin Tone
Much like the first BBs, the CCs have gotten complaints about how one shade doesn't fit all. So big thanks Make Up Factory, who split the color-correcting hues into individual tubes to address the three main skin tone makeup groups. Since it's meant to balance and not cover up, choose based on undertone and not exact shade.

2. Dryness
If you're among the fragile-, dry- and sensitive-skinned, find a foundation that's mist-sheer (especially if you don't need coverage) that protects and treats rather than covers, like Belo's Sun Expert Tinted Sunscreen (P360, Watsons). Added bonus: a super repurchase-friendly price tag.

Or, if you're letting your skin recuperate from something and need to cover and hydrate at the same time, a pot of fluffy beige cream is perfect for your skin type. The consistency of Max Factor's Miracle Touch Foundation (P795, Robinson's Department Store) lets you build up coverage as you need it, but never without quenching arid skin.

3. Dullness
For the fashion lover, layering is an instant way to look chic. For the beauty maven, though, layering is an instant way to look just perfect. And with Dior, covering up and coming up with a brighter face (instead of the cakey complexion you usually end up with after piling on foundation) is easier since their formulas match: Start with the Diorsnow Liquid Foundation (P3520, SM Makati) with a bonus of SPF 30, topped with the Diorsnow Compact Foundation (P4100), which envelops your face in a light matte finish.

4. Oily Skin
Letting yourself should be a good thing...until your skin hops on the bandwagon. Based on plenty of our coverage-testing experiences, many foundation formulas make one oilier (unless the product is oil-free, of course). So for the slick-skinned, we picked out Sisley's Phyto Teint Eclat (P5300, Rustan's). It's both long-wearing and oil-free but doesn't dry skin out. For a mattifier, add Make Up For Ever's Ultra HD Pressed Powder (P1410, Sephora.ph) on top.

5. Impossible Shade Match
The people at L'Oréal weren't kidding when they said they had something for everybody. While seven billion colors for the whole world is a total long shot, 33 shades is not bad at all. Based on undertone (whether you're warm, cool, or neutral) and color (how fair or dark you are), there's something for everyone. They made it extra personal, too, with a light and runny texture that makes building coverage an easy task. Not to worry about layering on the product: The formula carries no scent or fillers.
