Fitness Tips from Coach Inigo Hizon
Beyond their talent in arts and entertainment, passion for fitness, and enviably toned abs, these celebrities share one more thing in common: their personal trainer. Coach Inigo Hizon has become their go-to, and a quick scroll through his Instagram shows how his clients manage to find joy in staying active—even when their routines get tough.
Below, Preview caught up with Coach Inigo to share his top tips for anyone starting their fitness journey.

Consistency is more important than perfection.
Coach Inigo has heard this story countless times: “They found success with weight loss through extreme measures—two-hour workouts, cutting out entire food groups, or even medical interventions. But they all had one thing in common: they gained the weight back.”
He explained that there are no fixed rules when it comes to achieving your dream body. A 30-minute circuit might be more sustainable for you than a two-hour workout—and that’s completely fine. Depending on your lifestyle, cutting out carbohydrates altogether may not be realistic, so try limiting refined sugar treats to once or twice a week instead. “There are plenty of small, sustainable adjustments you can make to trim unwanted fat, even with long workweeks or other commitments,” he said.
Just keep moving.
Exercise isn’t confined to the four walls of a gym. Everyday activities can make a real difference to your fitness. “Walking after meals, parking a bit farther from the office, or spending more time outdoors burns more fat than people think,” Coach Inigo said. These small habits often go unnoticed, but they add up and help you cut calories over time. He added that the 10,000-step goal has remained popular for a reason—simply because “it works.”
Find the workout that you enjoy.
Every fitness journey is personal—there’s no one-size-fits-all formula. “Whether it’s Pilates, running, going to the gym, or playing tennis, do what you can see yourself doing long-term,” Coach Inigo tells Preview. Finding a workout you genuinely enjoy will help you learn to love, trust, and look forward to the process.
