In an industry where women are constantly being pitted against each other, it’s refreshing to see celebrities veering away from the drama and taking their time to support fellow women. Case in point: Alexa Ilacad, who sang praises for her good friend Chie Filomeno, and vice versa.
It stemmed from Chie’s latest hubadera snap, flaunting her sensational figure in a two-piece ribbed swimsuit that the internet couldn’t resist double-tapping on. Alexa, among other celebrities, sent her love, saying that Chie has her “dream bod.” Instead of merely saying thanks, Chie returned a sweet compliment to her former PBB alum. “You’re perfect,” she wrote back. Aww!
Despite being fitspirations and body positivity advocates, Chie and Alexa’s journey to being confident hasn’t always been smooth-sailing. In fact, Chie even got to a point where she deprived herself of food and settled with just water just to lose weight, while Alexa once revealed that it took her immense courage just to post a swimsuit pic.
Slowly though, the two stars have come to terms with their bodies. The best part about it? They’ve got each other to remind themselves of their worth in case they forget. These girls are totally friendship goals!
