Gen Z vlogger Aika Agustin recently uploaded a vlog walking her subscribers through her rhinoplasty experience. She first hinted about the result of her procedure when she posted a picture on Instagram on February 14 with the caption "New look, same old me."
In her vlog, Aika revealed that her surgery only took about two and a half hours. Her preparation for it, however, lasted several months. She shared that she did her research by joining the Rhinoplasty Diary Manila group on Facebook, where people posted about their experiences and even reviews of their doctors.
"I picked my doctor because he was good with making big noses smaller. As you can see, my nose right now is not really tall. It's not tall na matangos... I just wanted it to be the right size," she explained.
The specific procedures she got were an alarplasty and a tip plasty. She also got a chin enhancement as per her doctor's recommendation. During the actual surgery, Aika noted that she didn't feel any pain because she was on local anesthesia.
Post-operation, Aika shared that she felt uneasy, especially after her sutures were removed. She was inititally worried that her nose wasn't healing as fast as it should, and she also discovered a red bump on her nostril. Thankfully, after several consultations and prescriptions for antibiotics, her doctor finally said that her nose was healing as it should.
At the end of the video, Aika also shared the reason why she finally decided to get a nose job. According to her, this was her own decision and nobody forced her into doing this. "Nobody in my life told me that my nose was big or that I had to change something about my nose," she explained. "This was all on me."
"Ever since I was in high school, I knew that I wanted to get a nose job just to enhance my appearance and to make me feel more confident about myself."
"I didn't hate my nose, I was fine with how it looked like. I just wanted it to be enhanced and [for it] to look better," she concluded.
