According to real Preview girls.

It was afternoon tea made kawaii at Le Petit Soufflé as we hosted our first-ever Preview Makeup Workshop. What started as an editorial obsession over the season’s favorite makeup trend of doing your face with just one hue, turned out as a peachy excuse to hang out with fellow makeup fiends.

Each beauty-obsessed guest sat at a vanity table laid out with a curated selection of BYS makeup (everything they needed to cop the trend) and an LED mirror from Suesh (perfect for snapping those selfies) atop an acrylic tray from Oliver and Maude, and a face-chart guide to make nabbing the trendy makeup look easy.

The lovely setup for the day's makeup lesson!

Pete Rich’s illustrations for one of our beauty features doubled as face charts the girls used to determine how bold they wanted their look to be.

Monochromatic makeup requires a flawless base and versatile palettes to play around with. The girls toyed with BYS’ Matte Eyeshadow Palette (P1199, SM Beauty Store); Blush Trio (P399), which doubles as eyeshadow; and Pink a Pout Lipstick Palette (P299), which you can apply over your lids for a glossy finish. If you want strobed-out skin to go with your look, BYS’ Liquid Illuminator (P649) will give you a perfect sheen.

SM Youth Ambassador Kaila Estrada went for soft, blended-out pink lids using the BYS’ Blush Trio (P399, SM Beauty Store), while staining her lips with the Pink a Pout Lipstick Palette (P299)—blotting with a tissue after for a semi-matte finish.

"This is really how I like putting eyeshadow on," actress Klea Pineda said, lining her entire lid with the brightest pink shade and barely blending it out. She skipped eyeliner and finished with BYS’ Mascara Fantasy Lash (P599).

"I prefer my makeup on the natural side," mused Undo Cothing's Kyla Zuñiga, who used the warm browns from the Matte Eyeshadow Palette (P1199) and 6-Color Contour Palette (1199) on her eyes and cheeks.

Model Tessa Burton opted for a barely there pink glow, applying pink pigment on the corners of her bottom lids.

"I like my eyes winged, plus a gradient lip," shared model Wanda Chen, who did her winged tip using dark brown eyeshadow from BYS’ Nude Exposed Eyeshadow Palette (P1999), and layered neon pink blush all over her upper lids.
