Last Friday night, we found ourselves in the future—the launch of Future Zine’s very first volume in Today x Future, that is. Today X Future is a hole in the wall bar and gallery somewhere in the midst of the Araneta Center. Music provided by the best of Manila’s underground scene got us grooving to indie songs and of course, pop songs that we all know the lyrics to! (Thanks for that, Kix and Judd!)
The whole scene was peppered with artworks by Justine Basa, Cru Camara, Czar Kristoff, Doktor Karayom, and James Go—the same artists featured in the first volume of the zine, edited by Nante Santamaria, no less. Be sure to drop by Today x Future soon to grab a copy of the zine and even the chance to buy the artworks. I am totally digging that light box installation [UV print on acrylic glass] by Cru, BTW!)
