Who hasn’t heard of Wanderland? It’s the closest the Philippines is ever going to get to having its own mini-Coachella–and it’s just as good. Wanderland is bringing its A-game this year, with artists that are a perfectly curated mix of well known and indie. With headliner Kid Cudi, and other amazing artists RAC, Augustana, Youngblood Hawke, The Jungle Giants, Lewis Watson, Hale, SINYMA (with Banks-shipping lead singer Jess Connelly), Kate Torralba, Strange Creatures and Austin from Wanderband, CRWN, FXXXYBLNT, BP Valenzuela, The After-School Special, and Similar Objects, the music festival is packing in as much fun as possible into its one-day celebration.
That said, simply wearing fringed, Aztec-printed and belly-baring garb isn’t enough for Style Bible. We make sure the entire experience is on point, and that means even our ride is dressed to the nines.
Our chosen party bus is chauffeured by Bandwagon, a Singapore based website that lists gig schedules and is now in the Philippines. They’re launching their presence via a special road trip. The day before Wanderland, the Bandwagon bus will be visiting live music venues (12 Monkeys Music Hall & Pub and Route 196) and vinyl records stores (Tres Kuleros Records and Satchmi), while local electro-trio Birdforms (with fashiony photog Kara Chung) does a live onboard performance, and rock-and-radio royal Francis Brew Reyes emcees. After one day of making new friends in the constant embrace of good music, your ultimate stop is Wanderland, where you get priority entry and the chance of winning meet & greet passes, exclusive merch and after-party invites. Basically, the full hipster experience.
A word to the wise: leave the feathered headdress at home.
