For Zendaya, press tours are not just an opportunity to promote her films—they also serve as her runway!

In the past years, the actress has embraced method dressing, building anticipation for each carpet appearance. Her press tours for Luca Guadagnino’s Challengers and for Denis Villeneuve’s Dune are proof. From tennis-inspired details to futuristic ensembles, Zendaya pulls them off with ease.

Her upcoming film with Robert Pattinson, The Drama, is no exception. For the Kristoffer Borgli–directed project, the pair have spent the past few months building an immersive campaign around it.

The story centers on a couple’s engagement and the week leading up to their wedding, a premise brought to life through an announcement of the characters’ engagement printed in the December 2025 issue of The Boston Globe. It didn’t stop there—engagement photos of the couple soon followed, posted by real wedding photographers Shannen Norman and Emily Blake.

And at last, the premiere of the film has come—and with it, the start of Zendaya’s press tour run.

Zendaya Reuses Her 2015 Oscars Dress for The Drama Premiere

The old saying goes: a bride must wear “something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue.” Law Roach, the actress’s longtime stylist, posted a photo of her at the 2015 Oscars wearing a white Vivienne Westwood dress—originally a bridal gown. The caption read, “Something old.”

The photo, taken more than a decade ago, marked Zendaya’s first appearance at the prestigious awards ceremony. Bringing it back from the archives for her latest film reads as a full-circle moment.

The elegant off-shoulder dress was originally styled on the then 19-year-old Zendaya with long dreadlocks, platform heels, and chunky jewelry. Now 29, her fashion approach has evolved with her, reflected in her sleek short hair, more restrained and refined jewelry choices, and simple triangle-toe heels.

Next up on the list is “something new.” What do you think she’ll wear?
