Just over the last weekend, Preview flew to sunny Singapore for the launch of Zalora Fashion Festival, a veritable playground for the shopping-obsessed (a.k.a. us)! The highly interactive event took place from September 6 to 7 at the DECK, located right in the heart of the Little Red Dot’s dynamic art district. Zalora co-curated the immersive spaces with Adidas, Calvin Klein, NARS, Skin Inc., and Vans, connecting the offline and online by enabling guests to shop products on display right then and there through the Samsung Bixby Image Search on the new Note 10. Now that's necessary tech.
Interest piqued? Here, we give you a tour of our favorite caverns from our rounds at ZFF's special VIP night, just so that you'll be sure not to miss the next one.
First stop: Adidas! Zalora brought street style cool indoors for this installation, highlighting the sought-after Adidas Originals and OZWEEGO.
We were particularly drawn to the Adicolor collection, which featured a quartet of classic, vibrant sporting hues streaked across both men’s and women’s lines. Kaleidoscopic blue, green, red, and yellow took over reimagined versions of the brand's classic styles. Check out this quick peek at the evening's fashion show! Eyeing those angelic Fiorucci prints.
Beauty girl or not, you can't deny that the prospect of getting your pout on one of NARS' world-beloved lipsticks is beyond tempting. In celebration of 25 years in the biz, NARS introduced a fresh, provocative lip lineup of trendsetting shades in addition to the original 12 options. Their elevator-inspired room boasted of giant, flashing, neon-lit lipstick silhouettes that could change colors based on which of the four different personality buttons you pressed. It was so adorable, yours truly couldn't help but shoot a shimmery OOTN!
We sure had a ton of fun at Skin Inc.'s brightly-illuminated booth! Bathed in a glowing pastel rainbow, we tried out their latest innovation, the Optimizer Voyage Tri-Light Glasses. Worn like specs, these fuss-free custom LED numbers have three bespoke settings that help promote skin suppleness and radiance, effectively reducing the appearance of dark circles, puffiness, and signs of eye fatigue caused by the blue rays emitted from devices and screens. Skin Inc., after all, is famous for its award-winning, Japan-made gadgets and nourishing serums, so Jeline Catt was more than happy to volunteer for a test run.
A personal fave! Welcome to the chic Calvin Klein laundromat; the very latest CK pieces dangled on hangers, readily available to cop on Zalora. Guests shopped the curated looks from their phones via the aforementioned Samsung photo scanner, then turned right around to pose against the adorable, retro-cute front-load washing machines lining the wall. It was definitely a popular spot—spy Team Philippines giddily squeezing a few snaps in.
