If there's anything a girl loves, it's getting personalized gifts and treats. Fashion girls can now rejoice as Gucci announces the expansion of its DIY service, allowing consumers to add our personal flair to their products. Following the success of its first DIY run in May featuring the iconic Dionysus bag, the storied fashion house's creative director Alessandro Michele announced the second phase of Gucci DIY by expanding the range of the service, which now includes the much-coveted jackets (and the iconic Ace sneaker soon!) for both men and women.
The fashion house has given so much life and hype to the brand in its recent collections. "I want men and women to feel authentic and free in the expression of themselves," Michele said of the project. Gucci has been doing exceptionally well since Michele signed on as creative director, especially with the recent Cruise collection. Who didn't obsess with the colors, the fabrics, the intricate detail? What's not to love! Even Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza wore pieces from the Cruise 2016 collection for their iconic #ALDUBYouPreview November 2015 issue.
As if the jackets weren't already good on the runway, #GucciDIY takes customization to the next level. Clients have the freedom to choose between fabric—be it denim, tailored, silk or leather. Monograms, embroidery, and other custom badges and embellishments are also available to fit each respective taste and style. Imagining the endless combinations has us swooning!
Gucci's DIY service is exclusively available at its newly refurbished flagship store in Montenapoleone, Milan as of now, but will be reportedly extending to other flagships worldwide beginning September.
