Work Wear Diaries: Dr. Aivee Aguilar-teo The metro's best dressed doctor is now in.

There is nothing glamorous about a doctor’s job, let alone the journey they embarked to get where they are. They’re practically on call round the clock and have to rush as quickly as possible each time they get an emergency call. But even though the job demands a lot from them, they hardly disappoint when it comes to looking their best—a great example of grace under pressure.

Now, dermatologist Dr. Aivee Aguilar-Teo might be in the lead when it comes to looking young and beautiful but she certainly hasn’t forgotten about the style game, as well. More than a well maintained beauty regimen, this doctor knows that consistency in fashion choices is key to becoming the complete package of a best-dressed woman. She has made it to Preview’s Best Dressed list twice, after all. Read on as we take a closer look into her work wardrobe and see how she puts together her sartorial looks.

Can you tell us about your morning routine?

I usually have to get ready really fast in the morning because of the demands of my work. I take a quick shower, moisturize, and apply vitamin c (cream) and sunblock. Also I wear minimal makeup. I choose my outfit for the day in the morning—right there and then, depending on my mood and feel.

What’s a normal day like for you? How does the outfit fit into it?

I would describe my usual outfit at work as comfortable but fashionable. I usually go for a dressy top paired with slim pants or skirts with three- to four-inch heels or wedges.

Since most of the time I would have to attend a dinner or after work cocktails, I choose pieces that are able to transition well from day to night by adding a few accessories. I always change my day bag to a clutch for my evening events. During weekends, I opt for a more casual look, perhaps a pair of jeans with a nice, crisp white shirt.

Who would you consider as your personal style peg?

I don't really have a style peg. I always have my favorite brands, which I gravitate towards whenever I shop or need an outfit. Over the years, I've already learned what cut and style fit and flatter my body best. There are outfits that I absolutely adore but if I feel it doesn't really flatter my body, I would not force it.

Whose closet would you want to raid?

I would love to raid the closet of some of my closest and dearest friends who have such great wardrobe and bag collections.

How would you describe your everyday look?

My everyday look would be a pair of slim pants and a nice top worn with my pumps or wedges. For certain days, I would opt for a skirt or a dress. I prefer outfits that are figure hugging rather than loose or oversized.

What’s your current fashion obsession?

I am obsessed with everything Carven, from sweaters to shorts, shirts, and dresses.
