Win Metawin Goes Viral for "Tattooed Skin" During Songkran 2025

Fans did a double take as the Thai heartthrob showed off his "ink" during the festival

With a heatwave taking its course throughout Southeast Asia, Thailand soaked the streets for Songkran. The holiday, best known for its exuberant water fights and festivities, is held to cleanse the past self as the Thai New Year rolls in.

It's pretty much free game for anyone in public to get splashed during the three-day event. This year, heartthrob and Thai posterchild Win Metawin joined in on the fun as one of retail travel company King Power's guests. Upon entering the wet and wild affair, Win had onlookers taken aback with what looked like a bevy of tattoos sprawled all over his torso.

In front of hundreds of Songkran attendees, Win engaged in water gun battles and danced along to the music. Fans quickly noticed the "ink" painted all over his body, with the phrase "Il Ballo Della Vita" etched across his chest. Other symbols included a butterfly on his right shoulder and the word "MOM" on his left bicep.

It would take a second look for one to confirm that Win, in fact, did not have his body tattooed overnight. The actor was wearing a practically transparent sheer top from Diesel. The more soaked Win got, the more the piece clung to his figure, creating the illusion of a second skin.

Win teamed the skin-tight top with a pair of graphic denim jeans and a duo of belts. As a global ambassador of Tiffany & Co., he couldn't miss out on accessorizing with Link and Lock necklaces. These fine jewelry pieces are made of stainless steel, so no amount of water will cause them to rust!

Charismatic as ever, Win had his supporters in a frenzy over his appearance at Songkran this year. Partly due to his daring OOTD, he had international fans clamoring to see him come next Thai New Year. A user on X stated that he should be a tourism ambassador for Thailand at this point. LOL!

A sheer top like Win's proves to be an ideal Songkran 'fit. His pick from Diesel is a brainchild of creative director Glenn Martens and Måneskin frontman Damiano David. Fun fact: The designs on the top were fashioned after Damiano's actual tatts! Skin-toned stretch tulle replicated his torso, with the sizing and placement of each tattoo achieved to a tee.
